A New Chapter Begins at Pak Sha
Dear Pak Sha students, teachers and parents,
As the new school year begins, I warmly welcome everyone back to Pak Sha. To our students, whether you are new to our school or have been part of this community for many years, I want to say: Welcome home. A new school year is a new beginning, and it is also a precious opportunity for each of you to write a new chapter in your own story.
You may feel excited, nervous, or uncertain about the challenges ahead. That is perfectly natural. Growth does not begin when everything is easy; it begins when we are willing to take the first step. This year, I hope every student will remember two important things: believe in yourself, and turn that belief into action. When we change “I can’t” to “I will try,” and “I can't” to “I can improve,” we open the door to new possibilities. Small steps taken every day—listening more carefully, reading more regularly, asking more questions, and persevering a little longer—can lead to real and lasting growth.
In the 2026–27 school year, our key development direction will be:
These guiding statements remind us that Pak Sha students need both roots and wings. Our roots come from culture, values, character, and identity. Our wings come from creativity, technology, courage, and vision. With strong roots, we will not lose our direction in a changing world. With strong wings, we can move forward confidently and reach further.
This year, our interdisciplinary theme, “Timeless Classics, Reborn at Pak Sha,” will help students rediscover the wisdom and beauty of Chinese culture through different subjects and activities. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen digital education and AI learning. AI is not here to replace us; it is a tool and partner that can help us learn, create, and solve problems. However, the more powerful technology becomes, the more we need wisdom, responsibility, and integrity to use it well.
We will also continue to promote our House culture, built upon the values of Sincerity, Righteousness, Wisdom, and Perseverance. The four Houses are more than activity groups; they give students a sense of belonging, identity, and unity. I hope every student will find friendship, confidence, and opportunities to shine through their House.
I want to thank our teachers for their dedication and care, our parents for their trust and support, and our alums for their continued love for Pak Sha. Because of all of you, Pak Sha is more than a school—it is a warm and united community where students are encouraged, supported, and empowered to grow.
Dear members of the Pak Sha family, challenges may lie ahead, but I believe that when we trust one another, support one another, and work together, Pak Sha will remain a school with spirit, direction, and warmth.
Let us begin this new school year with hope, courage, and unity. May every student find direction, build dreams, strengthen character, and become a better version of themselves each day.
I wish everyone good health, joyful learning, success, and a meaningful 2026–27 school year.
