Our recent Staff Development Day was packed with valuable learning experiences for our teachers. We started with a workshop by a social worker from TWGHs Sunrise Court, titled "All About Drugs." The session aimed to boost our teachers' knowledge of different drugs and help them understand the reasons why young people might turn to them, empowering them with skills for early identification and prevention.

Shifting focus to wellbeing, teachers then participated in a workshop and made non-alcoholic mocktails. They learned how different drinks can be crafted to express emotions and explored this fun activity as a potential tool for stress relief.

Finally, we were joined by Dr. Wong Fong-ching from a tertiary institute for an engaging lecture on questioning techniques. He shared practical teaching theories and methods that our teachers are excited to apply in their classrooms.

It was a day dedicated to enhancing our professional skills and personal wellbeing, empowering us to better support our students.
